Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft alleged theft

Hi. I was not being smart and decided to steal a book from a bookstore. I'm sure that no one saw me put it in my bag. When I exited the store, the alarm beeped and it was too late to try to get rid of the book. I just kept walking to my car which was parked near the entrance of the store. I turned back and did not see anyone come after me. But there could've been surveliance cameras outside to pick up my license plate number. I quickly drove out of the parking lot and threw the book away somewhere far away to get rid of the evidence.

Please know that I'm aware what I did was not okay and never plan to steal again... Also, I'm a minor.

My question is: if the store does not have any surveliance of me actually putting the book in my bag, do you think they will still try to investigate?

First of all, stop yapping about what didn't happen.

If video does exist, it alone isn't dispositive or determinative that anyone depicted in said video is YOU.
If you are approached by the police, you simply identify yourself and immediately ask for your mommy, poppy, or guardian to be present.
The law prohibits the police from questioning juveniles without the parent(s) being present.
You are also shielded by the right to remain silent, so be smart and "mommy up" or "daddy up".

What the store does, the police will do, or anyone does; has no impact on you if you do as I suggested, stop yer yapping!!!!

The police are very clever and extremely persistent, so make sure you simply STOP talking after you've done as I suggested.

The authorities aren't interested in hearing your version of what transpired.
Besides, whatever you say is irrelevant.
The state has to prove your guilt, if your prosecution is sought.
You, if you're ever charged as a criminal defendant, need to do NOTHING.
Don't do as you did here, try to explain.
All your gum flapping will get you is deeper and deeper mired in the poo pile.

I am a retail theft consultant and answer questions like yours daily. If the store has evidence of theft and any means to ID you they can file a Police complaint. If they do and Police contact you answr NO QUESTIONS! Your only words should be "I want a Lawyer" no matter what they say or promise

Since you are a minor, you want your parents or legal guardian & a lawyer.
