My question is: What if a stranger called Adult Protective Services and used your relatives name to investigate the facility that they are in which is an assistance living home, without noticfing the family which the daughters of the relative have power-of attorney over the relative, and if no evidence is found that the relative is being abuse, neglect, or mistreated in any manner, could they remove the relative without noticifying the family and if the facility is in danger of being shut down, could they still just up and take over the relative that resides without letting the daughters have the opportunity to look for another assistance living home for the relative?
