Assault & Battery 2nd Degree Assault

My husband was recently charge with 2nd degree assault for touching someone upper arm. There was no pressure applied and no marks. Are we able to somehow contact our local state's attorney and ask for the case to be dismissed before it goes to court? If so, what do we need to do this?

It may have not even made it to the grand jury yet. Unless there is more proof the DA will probably drop the charges. If not hire an attorney or ask for a public defender to see what other evidence they may have against him. Your attorney will know how to handle this.
