2004 ticket

I just recently recieved a notice saying i had a warrant for a ticket i recieved in 2004 i was 16. about 2 years ago i went to the court and tried to pay it and was told there was nothing in the system. now i feel its just too old for them to issue a warrant. is it past the statute of limitations? is there anything i can do?

Pay it and it will go away. The warrant is not likely new. The warrant would have issued within a couple months of the citation, most likely for failure to appear in court.
The only way to make a warrant go away is to appear in court or pay the bail/fine.
