I recently got caught at Target for shoplifting close to $200 worth of merchandise. I was not taken to jail, however I was arrested and the officer told me I will be getting information on my court appearance in the mail. I had a clean record and I am $#%&&@!% bricks about this. My current job may not last much longer. I can't have this on my record, I need a job. I desperately need to know what I should do about this. What should I do in court? Also, can I have it expunged? Will I do any jail time? Believe me, I have learned my lesson and this is the worst mistake I couldve made. Please lead me on the right track. I believe I am a good person who just made a bad choice.
