    Broken speedometer cable/62in40

As Robbie said i doubt it. I know here in Texas (and i suspect most everywhere) that a speedometer is not a piece of equipment that is required. That being said, a lack of a working speedometer is not accepted as an excuse for speeding. Are you trying to say you did not know you were...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Set Up By Selling Alcohol to a Minor

If I remember right from my TABC classes (at least here in Texas) your friend would be subject to a fine and/or jail time. The store owner would most likely get a fine. You would need to check your state laws for specifics on sentencing in this case though. I do know if i was in the store...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication 20 yr old married woman drinking at home?

It varies by state. Some (such as Texas) do allow a minor to consume alcohol if they are in the "visible presence of, and have the consent of their adult parent, legal guardian, or spouse." Others do not allow a minor to drink under any circumstances. So the only way to know for sure would...

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication 2 Minor in Possessions, same night

Where was this apartment that you got a ticket form the University Police? Was it on campus? If it was then you are in their jurisdiction just as you would be for a city policeman.

Accident Not my fault but I was not insured

File a claim on the other driver's insurance. Your insurance status should not be a factor in the claim if the other driver was truly at fault.

Consumer Law, Warranties Manic about Motorcycle (Repo Lady)

I believe you said in a previous post that a total of $2000 was owed. That should fall within small claims court.

Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Help!!! California Mip!!!!

I have no answer for your other questions but I bet PED means pedestrian. He put that since you did not drive away. There are probably other penalties if you had been driving.

    Changing my childs last name

I had a friend in this situation when I was younger. I am not sure where you are, but here is what the rules were at the time in Texas. Yes a minor's last name can be changed, but it requires both parent's approval to change their name. I suspect that most states are like this.

    Bumper "tap" at stoplight.

Ask her to provide a copy of the estimate. I actually would not be too surprised if the estimate did say $300. Body work can be very expensive. Look over the estimate and see if she is trying to slip anything else in or if it is just for the bumper. Probably painting at the very least. Does...

    Breach of Contract by Buyer

Really depends on the contract. Was there an option period? Under what circumstances did it allow for the buyer to terminate the contract? What was the penalties written in for breaking the contract?

    Consumer Law, Warranties Repo lady

I may be wrong (hopefully someone who knows for sure will respond) but I do not think you have the right to repo the vehicle unless you are listed as the lein holder on the title. Even then I would expect there are certain conditions and paperwork that would need to be done in order to take the...

What is the Statute of Limitation on Fraud?

This is a Civil case and not a criminal one. Statute of Limitations refers to how long they have to bring criminal charges, and has nothing to do with civil matters.

lane change accident, was it totally my fault?

Unfortunately the insurance companies will probably rule against you. You were the one changing lanes, you hit him. He was beign a jerk, but there unfortunantly appears to be nothign illegal about that.

    Mini Tort

I am actually a little surprised they told you that. Last time I had an issue the insurance company got my deductable back for me when they went after their money. Do you have the other driver's insurance info? If so then you can try filing a claim against her insurance instead of yours.
