I believe it means that the order has not yet been ruled upon and time is still being taken to determine the outcome. Since there isn't yet a final determination it cannot be appealed. Is there a reason to think otherwise?

The erroneous date would seem to me to be an exploitable error and if you can show with alibi testimony that you were elsewhere on that date, you might have gotten lucky, e.g. someone appears with you and testifies that on that date and time you were at your nephew's third birthday party.
