Colorado To Rule On 2.5 Year Child Abduction

This is pretty terrifying. How factual based is this story? I'm assuming the names are changed. It's incredible. What's happening now? I don't want to move to Colorado!!!

    Interlocutory In Nature

I believe it means that the order has not yet been ruled upon and time is still being taken to determine the outcome. Since there isn't yet a final determination it cannot be appealed. Is there a reason to think otherwise?

    Question about a ticket

The erroneous date would seem to me to be an exploitable error and if you can show with alibi testimony that you were elsewhere on that date, you might have gotten lucky, e.g. someone appears with you and testifies that on that date and time you were at your nephew's third birthday party.

    California ticket

Re: California ticket (speeding) In my opinion it never hurts to fight it as you might get points reduced. In this instance you might even have a quesiton as to whether the police officer had a clue. You could challenge the speed if you believe that you were traveling no more than 70 MPH and it...

VA Speeding Ticket: Wrong Intersection written

Having the wrong intersection might be sufficient for you to challenge the validity of the ticket. However, is the street just misspelled slightly but still identifiable or is it completely different? What was the result? I'd love to hear about it!!!! Hope you won!!! :D

    OR: Speed racing points

I'm not sure. It seems to be a "Class A" violation and the best place to find out about potential effect on your insurance would be from your insurance company. 811.125 Speed racing on highway; penalty. (1) A person commits the offense of speed racing on a highway if, on a highway in this...

trial for disorderly conduct coming up

It sounds like there is a big discrepancy between what you and your brother state versus the owner. Who are the witnesses and what relation are they to the park manager? I notice that of the four names, two have the same last name and I'd think husband wife or brother sister. This entire...

    New Buyer with utilities problem

You need to provide more information as to what is going on. Why are you responsible for the seller's bills? All that should have been taken care of at closing and done with. Regarding the utilities, you should be able to take care of those items with the utility company as the new owners. I'm...

    property grading changed after closing

The best answer is a question. What does your contract say with regard to changes and modifications to what you bought?

Being held hostage by a buyer!!!!

The simple answer is, what does your contract say? If the contract expires at a certain date, then you don't have to do anything and the buyer can waste his money trying to sue you. I might give notice to the buyer of the expiration of the contract (if this is the case) about the situation.

Incompetent mortage guy could make us lose the house...

It sounds like you do but without more I have no idea nor can anyone tell you. Why would you lose the house? You cannot sue the loan officer for "specific performance" since he doesn't own the house. If there are damages then the bank may be liable, depending upon what happened. How much is a...

    buyer lawsuit

I think state law varies here but from what I have seen, it is the buyer's problem and they have a right of inspection for a reason. Take a look at the contract of sale and it should have the answer. I'm not even sure that there is a duty to disclose here because how were they expecting that you...

    wisconsin land contract gone bad

I don't know what kind of contract it is. Did you agree to buy the house? Is it a contract to buy and you get title when it's all paid off? All the answers would be in your contract. I'm guessing that damages to the home are the purchaser's problem. Typically the purchaser has the right to...

My neighbor butchered my trees! What can I do?

Don't know if you did so but you might want to file a police report for trespass. They might not do anything but you want to do it just for the record. I don't know about the trees being worth 20% of your property and I'd be surprised. You should probably get an arborist to give you an estimate...

Percentage Relevant Re Boundary Tree Disposal?

I don't know that there is any hard and fast rule. I would think that if the tree is primarily on the neighbors land then it is the neighbor's responsibility and he had an easement for the tree on your land. I could be wrong and you'd probably best work it out with the neighbor if you are...

Association Dues - When can you stop paying

This is difficult to say since you have all the paperwork. I'm curious as to what other people are doing and why you think you'll have a lien placed on your dwelling if the association has declared bankruptcy. What is being done about it?
