Mentally Ill Death Row Inmate Gouged Out His Eyes, Now Seeks Clemency

I agree that this man never had a chance, and that is very sad. At this point, there really is no justice that will be served. That said..... I'm not certain I agree with this position. Treatments for mental illness have improved vastly since the days of shock treatments and lobotomies. The...

Do I have the right to bring my kids back to our home state?

:( I was thinking more along the lines of - if these two kids aren't aware? Dad shouldn't clue them in.

Other Criminal Charges & Offenses Requesting that a prosecutor motion to set aside a conviction?

Honestly, a reasonable person, when confronted by LE (armed and in uniform) would operate on the reasonable assumption that they are actually LE, rather than think "Oh, maybe you're just *saying* you're LE" and trying to disarm them. I'd ask a CO to get you on the list for the prisoner therapist.

Does it constitute as abandonment if a husband fails to return from a trip abroad?

Especially since, reading between lines, they seem to be the wife's kids, not the husband's.

    Child injured at friend's house

This *may* not be up to code. It seems there is no state law regarding pool enclosures/fences but is apparently governed by municipal/city ordinances. But I admittedly didn't do a deep dive. It's been my experience, however, that most municipalities require a pool to be fully and separately...

What control does my girlfriends ex husband, have over my relationship with their two daughters (15

This sets my teeth on edge. Your g/f really shouldn't be involving her girls to the extent of sharing their Dad's texts with them. Asking them, in casual conversation, how they feel about your level of involvement is one thing, sharing Dad's texts? Not cool and only puts them in the middle.

Recovering Child Support Money from Custodial Parent

Did the judge "mention" that in the order? Also - does your son attend full- or half-day K? Does the school offer before/aftercare, and does your son attend that? Just curious.
