    Consumer Law, Warranties Amazon refund

You will. LOL. Just had to do that for a billing issue at my doctor. Ending up explaining the same thing to two people.

How long will eviction be public record in California?

Sorry, but court records are forever. They may be more difficult to access as time wears on but they will always be there if someone wants to search. That being said, corporate and multi-unit owners generally use background and credit check services which may be limited to 7 years. Private...

    S-Corp. VS LLC.

Why? Your reasons for considering an LLC are important in deciding whether to form one or not. Are you a one person business? Do you have partners (other owners), besides spouse? Do you have employees? Or do you just hire subs as needed?

    Consumer Law, Warranties Amazon refund

You can file for it but you won't win more than your actual loss. Other than court costs (filing and process service fees) and post-judgment interest, that's not true. No clue. Entirely possible. With any lawsuit, the outcome is always unpredictable.

    Revocable trust, property with lien

No worries. Kansas is one of the states that allows for Transfer on Death Deeds for real estate. https://law.justia.com/codes/kansas/chapter-59/article-35/ Any real estate qualifies and you can find the TOD deeds (AKA Beneficiary Deeds) online. Once completed you have to get them recorded...

    Consumer Law, Warranties Amazon refund

If you have any right to a refund at all, it's just for the amount spent on the items. Your time and interest paid on credit cards is not likely to be compensable, although Amazon may give you a gift card for your trouble. Try escalating to corporate by email. cs-escalations@amazon.com If...

    First Paycheck, What Do?

Don't sweat it. Wait until you get your W-2 next January or so. Then go to the IRS website and download Form 1040 and its instructions. It's not rocket science. Illinois Dept of Revenue has forms and instructions. You'll also need to find out if your city has an income tax.

Must a wife's maiden name be used on estate documents?

You can't go wrong by using her "legal" name. The one that's on her driver license, tax return, bank accounts, etc. Use of the maiden name is probably optional and might be useful in properly identifying a person with a very common name, although birthdates and SSNs would also be useful. I...

The Very Sad Ending to What Was Once Thought to be a Great Presidency.

Actually, I was serious. I have read TC's material for maybe 20 years. He goes right to the heart of important issues and suggests serious solutions. The qualities a President should have. If not TC, then someone with those abilities. Not the two choices we face now.

Is it too late to get you nominated? You are probably more capable than either of them.

The Very Sad Ending to What Was Once Thought to be a Great Presidency.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a cripple (sorry - disabled), wracked with pain on a daily basis throughout his Presidency, yet he successfuly brought the US through post-Depression Era recovery and most of World War II. Just sayin'.

    Is this right?

Of course it's not "LEGAL." Did it harm you? No. What do you want to do, make a federal case out of it? Every hear of "No Harm, No Foul"? smh

    Easement maintenance ~ whose responsibility?

Clear your land? No, I don't think so. But I think you have an obligation to at least trim the branches occasionally to keep them away from the power lines.

    Is this right?

"Typical"? Dunno. Could be a mistake, could be intentional. Have your Dr write up a revised return to work report and submit it. You have a month to get it resolved. No biggie.

Questions on against whom and to which county to file

You didn't say that earlier. That may give you a cause of action for a private nuisance lawsuit. But that's a bit iffy. Do you have copies of the lease between C and B and the HOA rules that actually use the phrase "orderliness of the neighborhood." I ask because I read thousands of posts where...

Premises Liability Sprained Ankle after Fall, No Watch Your Step Sign

Here's my guess as to why two attorneys would not take the case. A "step" is not a "hazard" that requires elimination or remediation. Millions of stores and businesses and homes have one or more "steps" that are safely negotiated every day without any warning signs. In fact, by your own...
