    Severence promised then reneged...

How many people are affected? Nothing was stopping you from starting to look for other work on Dec. 9. And it's not necessarily "deception". Maybe they just decided that they couldn't afford to do what they originally planned to do. I would note that neither federal nor Florida law...

I'm not sure what you're looking for. What exactly is the question?

My payroll (paycheck) was reversed for days I already worked, is that legal?

See an attorney who can review your contract/agreement in full and determine what, if any, recourse you may have. As an independent contractor, wage payment laws (even if Florida had any) don't apply to you. You did meet the criteria to be treated as an IC, right?

    fired

It may be an excuse, but it may not get you UI benefits. You would have had a better chance, I think, if you had reported to someone (even HR) that you were being instructed by your manager to falsify the reportss.

Termination in an At Will state

Nope, Arizona is not one of those states.

    Can they really do that?

You need a local attorney who can review all the agreements and other documents to advise you. This is a contract issue, not a wage and hour issue.

Did I violate anything that may cause my termination?

I wouldn't, but legally, you could be fired if you root for the Steelers instead of the Ravens.

Assaulted and being retaliated against (LONG)

Yeah, too long. Cut it down to the pertinent facts.

Previous employer required to pay commissions owed?

Well, you're welcome to take it to a Georgia attorney and see what he says. If anything, you would have to file a civil suit in the state courts, since the federal DOL does not address this specific issue.

Previous employer required to pay commissions owed?

Legally, no. What does the commission policy/plan say?
  17. P

Previous employer required to pay commissions owed?

That would be a legal policy under federal law (Georgia has no wage and hour laws of its own). It is fairly common for such plans to require the employee complete the commission period and/or be employed at the time the commissions are paid. The only exception would be if you were inside...
