    Threatened for [Not] Stealing

After searching through your posts to find the actual questions, the answers are no and no. Not legally.

    Military pay, over payment

Two years is a very long time, and as a payroll manager for some large companies for a number of years, I would never agree to two years. Six months is, IMHO, quite acceptable. How much money are we talking about in relation to your monthly salary?

Collective dismissal and rehiring for same positions

This site deals almost exclusively with US Law. If someone knows anything about Canadian law, they will post, but just letting you know in case you don't get any responses.

    Military pay, over payment

Actually, in Florida, no they wouldn't. Florida has basically NO wage payment laws. The fact that is was the employer's error does not mean they cannot request you pay it back. Should they make arrangements for a payment plan? Personally, I think they should, but that's just my opinion...

    Wal-Mart keeps haunting me

There was nothing illegal about the termination from Wal-Mart. It was not a wrongful termination, even if they were mistaken. Now, however, on to the current situation. What exactly happened? Did you start working before the new employer contacted Wal-Mart? What exactly did Wal-Mart tell...

Did FMLA apply in any of these leaves of absence?

    no money for severance

This is mainly a site for U.S. law and I don't think any of the regular responders here know Canadian law. Sorry

falsely accused of theft then terminated

I just read the subject line and the last sentence. Your post is WAY too long and needs paragraphs and white space for anybody to read it. But, if you're asking if your temination was legal, yes it was. "Clear your name"? For what purpose? Is the ex-employer telling others you were fired...

    pay period

Wait a minute. What does mean? Does that mean the pay frequency is being changed from semi-monthly to monthly? There is no law requiring an employer to have an employee handbook. Yes, it is legal in your state to not offer personal days, vacation, OR sick leave. Are you exempt or...

    2 year old paycheck found

Let's not go off half-cocked here. Contact the employer before you do anything. I can't tell you the number of employees I've had contact me and say "I found this old paycheck, please replace it" and, upon research, found that I had replaced it and that replacement check was cashed at the...

    Conspiring Co-workers

What did the company say when you asked if you could use the scrap to build something for yourself? And what did the company say when you asked if you could work on it on their property, using (assumedly) their equipment? Why don't you just take the whatever-it-is home, out of these guys' reach?

Forced to take a personal day when I worked

So, individual employment contract? Unless the contract prohibits this action, you're going to have to handle it internally. Wage and hour law doesn't care.

Forced to take a personal day when I worked

Collective Bargaining Agreement, i.e. union contract.

You are required by CA law to provide the employee with information regarding unemployment insurance.

Hi, any advice for best course of action here?

This is mainly a U.S. site and I don't think we have any responders here knowledgeable in UK law. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/index.htm

    Rembursement

You can file a civil suit, but with only a "verbal promise", you're going to be hard-pressed to prove that a contract for this reimbursement actually existed. Having said that, you'd probably be better off waiting it out. It sounds like they haven't refused to pay it outright.

Changing a Seniority Date (possible lay-off)

Covered by a CBA? If not, generally speaking, there is no law that is going to prohibit the employer from manipulating the dates any way he likes.
