Why in the state of Texas cant a Parole Officer inform the wife of the parolee information concerning his arrest, or any other information for that matter.

Did you ask your husband about his arrest?
As far as I can find there is no "law" that requires a PO to give information to the spouse of one of their parolee's.

I will tag @army judge who is/was an attorney/judge in Texas.

My husband had no idea why he was arrested, and neither did the arresting officer. He went to his probation meeting this morning and was arrested. His parole officer wouldn't tell me why he was arrested just told me to ask him. He said he had no idea and there was no information in the system as to why he was arrested (the arresting officer checked the system) But I was just wondering where the law was saying they PO cant tell me anything.

You can discover MOST things in this brochure that TDCJ issued:

https://www.tdcj.texas.gov/documents/pd/PIT_English.pdf

A parolee is released to live in the community, rather than being housed in a prison cell.

In effect, a parolee hasn't been relesed from serving her/his sentence.

The parole board releases the parolee into the community to resocialize her/him, but he/she is still under the control of TDCJ (Texas department of Criminal Justice).

Common sense should deduce that the TDCJ, parole board, the parole officer has no duty to tell anyone anything about the parolee.

As the PO suggested, ask your husband WHY he was arrested.

He knows why, because he did or failed to do what his parole officer directed.

If he was a drug addict, he's probably using again and tested dirty.

If he won't tll you, search the county website and you'll see his scheduled court date.

You, along with anyone else in the community, are FREE to attend the court sessions and learn what he refuses to tell you!!!

Tell me what county jail he's in, and I'll tell you how to search the county jail website to learn the TRUTH for yourself.

If he;s in Neuces County Jail, start here with a court case search:

Case Search | Nueces County, TX

You can likely find his mugshot and reason(s) for the arrest here (the search is FREE):

So...a married person is on parole and has been arrested for another crime? And the parole officer is telling the wife that he/she can't give the wife any information about the arrest? Is that what you're asking about?

If so, are you the wife, and, if you are, did you ask the parole officer why he cannot provide the information? If not, I submit you should do so. If so, what response did you receive?

Beyond that, no one here has information about your husband and his actual or alleged criminal activity.

My husband had no idea why he was arrested, and neither did the arresting officer.

So...you're telling us that some officer just decided to arrest your husband for s**ts and giggles? That's a bit hard to believe.

I was just wondering where the law was saying they PO cant tell me anything.

It is highly unlikely that there is a law that says this.

If someone gets arrested on parole, they violated parole in someway. Either he violated the conditions of his parole or committed another crime.

I don't think there's anything that says a PO can't tell you why they got arrested - but they don't have to tell you. You know where your husband is go ask him. Or, as stated, find out his next court date and go sit in on that court appearance. In some states, you can look up someone's case file for a fee even.

If he is in jail now, go online and see if the jail has an inmate roster published. Some of them list why the person got arrested and what the charge is. Sometimes it takes a little bit for the system to update too.
