Computer Crimes, Hacking Property seized during a search warrant

Jurisdiction
California
Please forgive me if this is the wrong section. I live in southern California. I was living in my house with my brother. One day, while I was at work,. A search warrant was served on my property. My brother has been arrested and charged With a crime. During the service of the search warrant, a tablet computer that was in my room was taken. A long with all of my brothers computers. The tablet had not been used for around 5 or 6 months, and I doubt they will find anything incriminating on it. It didn't even have power. It was taken along with the suspect's stuff. I want to reiterate that I didn't do anything wrong or illegal using the tablet, so I don't know why they would think to take it. I was wondering if I should be concerned about this and how I could go about getting it back. Thanks for your help.

Any stranger knows less than you know.
You previously EXONERATED yourself and proclaimed your innocence.

There you go, in YOUR own words, you're as innocent as a newborn, one day old human baby.

In fact, you said:

If all of that is true, you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about, right?

We have no conceivable way of knowing whether you "should be concerned." How do you get the tablet back? Call the law enforcement agency that executed the warrant and ask about this. Explain that it's yours and not your brothers and see what they say. At some point they'll go through it to see if there's anything that might be useful in connection with the prosecution of your brother. If they don't find anything, they may agree to return it to you.

I'm not proclaiming my innocence. I am stating what I know to be fact. I never did anything wrong or illegal with the tablet. I'm sure I have nothing to worry about, but I wanted to get advice as to the best course of action. Would really appreciate straight answers and not sarcasm
Thank you.

I only KNOW what you tell me.

You said you're innocent.

If that's your story, I'm cool with that, because I'm just another internet NOBODY.

Fair enough. In all honesty, I don't even care about the tablet. I just want to make sure the cops don't pull a fast one on me and try to lump me in with the suspect's wrongdoings. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm just trying to put my mind at ease.

Many things can happen with a device NO longer under your control.

In fact, you indicated that you hadn't used the tablet for six months, or so.

However, someone may have used the tablet and downloaded "kiddie porn", made "terroristic" threats, sent emails to "terrorists" plotting the next "attack", plotted via email to rob banks, and the list continues with whatever a human mind can conjure.

If the police appear and start asking questions about "this and that", it isn't in your best interests to answer those questions.

The only questions you should answer are: name, DOB, address, employment (if you wish), and then you should INVOKE.

These videos describe EXACTLY what one should do if any law enforcement official wishes to question YOU:
