A couple of months ago my neighbors window got broke. They automatically blamed my 10 year old because they said she plays outside all the time. 3 weeks went by and the parents (my neighbors) never said anything to me about the window, but their kids and themselves have no problem looking at my daughter and saying she broke it which they have no proof. Next incident the neighbors claimed my daughter played ding dong ditch on them. They came over to question where my daughter was whom was inside the whole time and had nothing to do with it. They get security cameras put up all around their property. Next incident they called the police on my daughter saying she poured paint on their dogs. My daughter was inside the whole time and never did that, but this is the third incident that has happened that they have no proof my daughter did anything even with security cameras.
Couple weeks later my daughters bedroom window gets broken and I simply file a report and don't point fingers, but it's funny how our window is broken (really not funny). So my daughter goes to the same school as their 10 year old daughter thank goodness not in the same class. So their daughter goes around spreading rumors around the school that my daughter broke their window and they called the police on her. So other kids start bothering my daughter. I go to the school and talk with the counselor about this. I also talked with the bus driver to get the girls separated on the bus. Neither girl talks with each other. And our families have nothing to do with each other. I have no idea what their problem is with my child because they use to take her to church with them etc.
This now has been going on for a couple of months. Anytime they see my daughter outside they come out of their house and hold their cell phones up like they are taking pictures or recording her. They have security camera so why do that. She can't play in the backyard or front yard without them always sticking a camera in her face. They drive by in their cars and all of them have their camera up which does make me uncomfortable. My daughter doesn't feel safe being home alone or even playing in her own yard.
So today right before my daughter got off the bus the mother came up to the bus and started pointing fingers at my daughter saying she's harassing her daughter on the bus and told the bus driver that she's called the police on my daughter which the other kids on the bus heard and they started questioning my daughter right away which made my daughter completely embarrassed. This is why we went to the school counselor so that the rumors would stop and now the mother opened it back up again. My daughter never harassed her daughter and again she has no proof. I don't know what to do. I want to get her/family on harassment charges because they are constantly stalking my daughter with their cellphones, spreading rumors and being completely mean to her. I'm sorry but, now a days this is what kids kill them selves over... all this bullying! How do I get this to stop. My daughter is always stressed and depressed. She wants to be homeschooled because this is happening at school and home. I will be contacting the school on this new information and will have the bus video pulled for evidence, but how do I stop this from happening to my 10 year old daughter? What legal thing can I do?
