Right to a speedy trial

I was charged with a crime in 2013 and have not heard anything about a trial until today when I received a letter in the mail that I have trial in March. Is there not a speedy trial clause that would prevent them from taking this to court after this long?

I'm going to guess you were never formally charged in 2013. Did you make any appearances in court?
Unless this us a very serious crime the statute of limitations may have expired.
Since you received notification by mail I will assume this is not a serious crime. Is it civil?
Are you confident the letter you received is legitimate? There are many scams out there these days.
