How long does it take to get a court summons/court date

I was accused of shoplifting about five and half months ago from the PX. I received a civil demand letter about three weeks after alleged incident and paid it within 60 days. How long does it take to receive a court summons or court date? What's the possibility that anything else will come in the mail? Is there some website online I can go to and check and see if I have a pending court case? No citation or notice to appear was given at time of being released.

Quite often, once you pay the civil demand that's the end of it.

If nothing has happened since then, it probably won't.

Agree; generally if you pay the civil demand, no further action is taken.

If were nabbed in the PX, six months ago, you'd have been summoned into federal court already.

Looks like you lucked out.

You paid their demand for tribute, no doubt the authorities won't bother you about this any longer.
