I too was scammed, sadly. $1250 for an Apple PowerBook G4. The perpetrator hacked into someone's Ebay account (in good standing), made a bogus listing and then sent fake emails from support@squaretrade.com to verify his identity and solicit payment by Western Union. I fell for it...
