you always can apply to renew your card. If you move to the UK, you may loose your GC, because if you leave states for more than 6 months, you GC gets cancelled. Why wont you apply for citizenship, you will dual citizenship, and you will be able to live in the UK as long as you want.

2.)how soon can we move in together?
it is absolutely up to you guys...
sorry about your situation,
i am not sure about your school thing, but you may have problems with immigration in future if you decide to immigrate, IF you plead guilty.
ask public defender about other options to dismiss the case without you pleading guilty.
good luck!
you need a good immigration lawyer.
check this site out:
www.aila.org
they have the list of the best immigration lawyers in your area.
it is hard for people here to help you, sounds complicated (especially with your kids), and you cant rely on their advises, all we can do here is to share...
Number one rule, DONT plea guilty!!!
Ask your attorney to get you into pre-trial diversion program (if your state offers that). After successful completing diversion program your case will be dismissed, no conviction.
what state are you in?
Hello,
I live in SF area, CA.
I am married to US citizen, and I got my conditional green card last year.
But being stupid I did shoplifting and got caught. I got arrested, spent a night in jail. Went to court, got sent to diversion program for first time offenders, worked 40 hrs of community...
probably Milka will be assigned to the diversion program, in CA they do that with first timer offenders. And after that her case should be dismissed.
Milka, let us know if thats what happened.
