Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft petty theft please help

Since it is your first offence you may just be charged with a fine, probation, community service or any combination of those. From what i have gathered it is unlikely that you would have to serve jail time. As for your record, i am not sure but you can discuss it with an attorny when you go to...

They could take you to court if you don't pay the civil demand but it would be a civil case, which is seperate from the criminal part of it. But since the police weren't present and you didn't get a citation or anything i think you may be in the clear. Just be sure to pay the demand when it comes!!

Were the police present? It doesn't sound as if you were arrested, just that they got your information and are sending you a civil demand. Did they mention anything about a court date? If they didn't - and you weren't arrested- then it is possible that if you pay the civil demand it will be the...

I think you may be charged with identity theft. This website may help you see what you're looking at http://www.ncsl.org/programs/lis/privacy/idt-statutes.htm However, i am not sure that is what you're facing. I suggest you consult a lawyer once you get the information from the investigator.

You can probably bring your brother since he is of legal age. Well, the civil demand from walmart (in california) can run anywhere from $50-$500. I don't know where you're from but its probably about the same.

"price switching" is still considered theft. You are probably being charged with petty theft which is a misdemeanor. Since you are a minor they may offer you a diversion program and once completed it will not appear on your record. Otherwise, the most likely outcome is you will have to pay a...

Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Petty theft.

If you are a first time offender, usually they offer you to just pay a fine or probation/community service and if you complete it then they may take it off your record. And i'm not so sure if it gets taken off when you're 18 maybe it does. You're a minor so maybe they'll go easy on you. Good luck.

So here's my first question. 1. How much do you think the store can reasonably sue me for? On the paper they gave me it says that it takes into consideration the possible damges, whether the item was damages or rendered non-saleable, costs of security, and other restitutions permitted by...
