My brother did not inform me that he would be compensated; had he done so, I would not have agreed to his appointment.

Can anyone tell me if the appointed Administrator in a probate matter is obligated to divulge that he/she will receive compensation? What sort of matters are considered a basis for having an Administrator removed? Thanks
