My 14 year old son was challenged to a football match/competition between him and another boy (13 y.o.), while another person throws the ball in New York State. During this challenge my 14 year old tackled the 13 y.o. (who is smaller than my son)in mid-air when he caught the ball and an injury occured with the 13 y.o. (fracture wrist...I think). The 13 year old's mother is trying to file criminal charges (meeting/interview w/detective has not occurred yet). This mom is also attempting to sue me. Today I have rec'd a letter advising me that the mom has obtained an attorney in respect to the personal injuries her child sustained at the hands of my son. This letter further states that I must turn this letter over to my homeowner's insurance carrier. Unfortunately I am not a home owner. Any thoughts?

If you're not a homeowner chances are her lawyer will end up dropping her case since there really is no insurance to go after.
