wrong vin on vehicle

We had a pick up special built for towing. We no longer use so we put on the internet to sell, not one phone call. Found out when vin # was run our King Ranch comes up as a Lairat with regular gas, our truck is diesel. I checked original paper work and vin on truck all matches. Under title records it comes up as historical. Bottom line is we can't sell, what do we do ? It is a expensive lawn ornament.

You must have failed to do what your potential savvy buyers are doing, checking out the VIN.

Take the truck and your paperwork to the DMV. They have a way of fixing these things.
