Write up documents

Hi,
I work in DC for a large chain. I was recently written up (unjustly IMO) and was asked to sign paperwork.
My questions are:
Am I entitled to a copy of the write up?
and
Is there a law in place in DC entitling me to contest the write-up or is this based on Company Policy only.

The District of Columbia has no laws entitling you to a copy of the write up or guaranteeing you the right to contest it. Both are a matter of company policy.

Agree though the rules are a little different for DC government employees which doesn't seem to apply here.
