I am having a bit of a legal issue concerning a property matter. I was told by a friend to put the phrase "without prejudice" at the top of any correspondence that I write.
I was told if I do this the letter cannot be used against me in court. Is this true? I live in Canada. I don't plan on putting anything bad in the correspondence I just don't want to have anything I write twisted out of context.

Q: I was told if I do this the letter cannot be used against me in court. Is this true?

A: I don't know anything about Canadian law, but I doubt that this is true. Ask your friend for a cite to the law concerning this.
