10 years ago my friend in China came to seattle to visit me, and he opened an checking account using my name. all the statements were mailed to him in his chinese address, then I have not heard from him. Recently another friend told me that he was arrested in China for criminal crime. I want to know what should I do with the account he opened.
The checking acccount was opened under my name, using my ID, and I signed, but mailing address was to China.
During this 10 years I have never looked into this account.
Should I close the account? or maybe call that bank and know the activity? is that okay?
Or should I do nothing and just respond as not knowing that person?
This is really urgent!!! Anyone know anything about it please give me a hint.
