Hi,
My mother died and left a credit card for $1,600, which is only in her name. My dad and myself are now getting calls from a collection agency wanting us to pay for it. It has been 3 months and they are still calling. My parents don't own a house or car, the only thing my mom left was her life insurance that was given to me. We live in Illinois, is my Dad liable for my moms credit card debt?
Also, my dad is still receiving a credit card statement in my moms
name after we told them that she passed away.
