Roomate what Rights do i a subtenant or Co Tenant

My wife & i Rent a Room in a 3 bedroom and the master Tenant are trying too serve us a Eviction i wish too know my Rights are as a sub tenans or Co Tenats??. Oh and we are on the Lease

Do you pay rent to the landlord or to the other tenant?

Whomever you pay rent to is your Landlord. That person or persons has power to evict you. However they must meet CA requirements for doing so. Are you current on rent? How long have you lived there? Were you given a notice to vacate?
