First off, I am a complete idiot. I was detained by the loss prevent people at a Nordstrom with about $200 worth of clothes. They "field released me" after going through my record which was clean (except I was an idiot 5 years ago and tried to take a wallet from there-which was only marked as a civil complaint and I paid a small fine). They told me I'd be getting a letter in the mail for a court date...The main issue is that I recently moved out of CA state to WA and was just down there to tie up loose ends. I have 2 kids and I am crapping my pants with what to do. Since they didn't arrest me or give me a court date, any ideas of what I can expect? Or what I should do for that matter?
