what happens if insured wont respond to their insurance?

A few weeks ago I was involved in an accident with another driver in new Mexico. I went through a yellow light because I didn't have time to stop safely. The other driver made a left turn across traffic and I hit them. It says they are at fault on the police report.I filed a claim with my insurance initially to get my truck fixed. Since then I have been trying to get both companies to determine who is at fault, but her company says they can't get a hold of her. They won't tell me what will happen if they can't get a hold of her. So what will happen if she won't respond. I shouldn't have to use my own insurance if she is at fault for the collision. Thank you!

File a claim with your insurance, they'll fix your car, and seek reimbursement from the insurance of the other party.

Yep - let your ins. co. handle it (they will see that your vehicle gets repaired); let them contend getting payment from other party's ins. co.
