I was hired at a school district for a part time job in 1997 and have worked the three days per week I was hired for since that time. My new supervisor is requesting I work 5 days a week, split my 24 hours up during those 5 days per week. Do I have a right to keep my original hours? I have always received great evaluations and completed my assignments. I feel it is a personnal attack because he has questioned any time off I have requested and compensation time earned. I want to know what steps I should take to keep my original hours if I have a legal right to do so?

Unless you have a bona fide, enforceable contract that specifically says you cannot be forced to work anything but the original schedule, you can be asked to work any schedule the employer wants you to and you can be fired if you refuse to comply.
