We are a 501c7 organization. Can the board dictate email address used by members?

AS chair and secretary (volunteer) conductint numerous events (dog shows and trials) for our organization, I established email account in 2014 using dkc@ xxx.xxx so that the plethera of emails received for entries, requests for information, and event confirmations did not clog my current email. Many exhibitors, and professionals have this as their contact information. At this time, the board wants to dictate what email addresses may be used by members, though the organization does not provide email address for members (all volunteers). The question is, can the board dictate what email address a club volunteer-member may or may not use for correspondence?

Is this the hill on wish you wish to emulate General George Custer?

Yes, they absolutely can.

And if you don't comply, the board can just decline your volunteer efforts, cancel your membership, and send you packing.

You're rather naïve if you thought otherwise.
