This is just a curiosity question at this point, as this happened about 4 years ago. I've just always wondered what would have happened had I taken this one to court.
I was driving along in a 45, doing about 58. I got pulled over, and the officer wrote the ticket for 51. 58 would have been the next bracket of speeds, causing the ticket to be more. But when he was telling me my options, he said if I went to court, he would amend the ticket to show I was going 58.
Would that fall under perjury, and aside from that, could I have claimed that he threatened my rights to go to court?
