I am currently going through a situtation with my previous landlord and I need a question answered.

This is the situation: I moved into an apartment on Feb 3, 2006. In December 2006 I failed to pay the rent. In Jan my Landlord filed papers to take the matter to court. We went to court on Jan 16, 2007. The judge ordered me to pay $550 (dec. rent), $27.50 (late fee for dec.), Jan 1-16 prorated rent, and 27.50 (late fee for Jan), which came to a total of $971 plus $80 court cost. He gave me 10 days to surender the premises.I vacated the premises on Jan 26 which was exactly ten days. Upon moving into the apartment I paid my landlord $550 security deposit. My landlord subtracted $230.66 of unpaid rent for the ten days, from my security deposit.

My Question: Do I have to pay her for the ten days that the judge gave me to leave the apartment?

I would pay just the judgment amount and then make the landlord file a satisfaction of judgment with the court so you will be off the hook.
