While grocery shopping at Wal-Mart today, a florescent light bulb fell from the ceiling right beside me, exploding, embedding glass into my pant legs. No injuries were sustained however, I found the event quite emotionally disturbing. Cannot stop thinking of what could of happened and am quite appalled by Wal-Marts negligence. The manager was contacted and a report was filled out. A witness also stepped forward giving me his name and number in case further actions needed to be taken.

Just curious if any legal actions could be taken in regards to receiving monetary compensation for emotional distress.

You have no damages.

No damages = no case.

You don't get damages for "what if" or being a bit shocked.

This isn't even necessarily a case of negligence.
This is a non-issue. Shop elsewhere if you don't feel safe at Wal-Mart.
I shop elsewhere just because the people at Wal-Mart freak me out...

That made me ell oh ell! :D

Being the kind benevolent wench that I am, I won't post the link to um...the people of Walmart. ;)
