Burglary, Arson, Home Invasion Vop

A friend of mine was given 2yrs jail time, and 5yrs probation, two years into his probation, his girlfriend got pregnant and they were on the verge of being evicted..well a "friend" of his convinced him to take things from his(the friends) moms house. The mom came home while he was doing this, and he tried to talk his way out of this..he dropped the stuff(all except maybe $20 worth of stuff he forgot was in his pocket) , and ran. He was so afraid that he fled the state. Once he calmed down and came to his senses he turned himself in(in PA)he served 4mths there waiting to be extradited, but FL never came, so he was released,He tried to call his P.O. but they just told him he needed to make it back himself. he had nothing, so he got a job, and eventually made it to GA, where he was arrested, and is now awaiting extadition again. I am not sure if the charges from the burglary were dropped or not, or if he just violated probation..but he gave everything back, and tried to turn himself in.We are trying to find an attorney. How can he prove to the judge that he is not a threat to society, he has a child, and would just like to fix all this, with as little jail time as possible, so he can get back to his family.how much time is he looking at?
