I live in Alabama and have a 9 year old son and his father just called the other day and I was wandering if the father has been absent from the childs life for 5 and a half years do I have to let him have his visitation rights. The child has ADHD and has to be in a set routine and if that routine is interupted the child gets emotionally unstable. Is there a way to let the father come to see the child but not let him take him anywhere. The last time he took him he was 3 and a half years old and it took me this long to get him back to normal and not affraid and finally got him set in a routine. He is in the military but was stateside in north carliona for most of this time and not in Iraq.
