I was demoted three years ago from a service manager to a service tech now I am in another department, not the service dept but under the same manager. The manager at the time and I had a verbal agreement that I did not have to take after-hours service calls. Since then we have gone through another manager, and he agreed to the same verbal agreement. This past week another manager was fired and the new service manager wants to put me on call for the long run because we are short on service techs. I said I would try and help out only till they get someone hired but like I said he wants it for the long run and I don't want too. Can he do this even though I had a verbal agreement with previous management and if he does this what are my options?
