Over a year ago an associate and I traveled to Mississippi to look for investment properties.
At the end of the trip my associate announced that he considered this area to be his and that he did not want me to purchase properties in the region. At the time, I had no desire so I verbally agreed. However, I now wish to purchase in this area.
My associate and I are no longer in regular communication.
My question is, if he were to find out that I have purchased properties in this area, does he have any legal recourse against me. If he DOES have a legal recourse, what would it look like?
Again, it was only a verbal agreement that was made over a year ago.
