I recently sold a dirt bike to someone from plainfield.
The man is trying to sue me because he is not happy with what he received.
The bike was advertised on Craigslist.com, which to the best of my knowledge is not legally binding in any way,
I do not have a dealer licsence so I am not applicable under the lemon law,
The buyer knew that the bike did not run at all and had critical engine problems,
The buyer paid in cash,
The title never had my name on it, it was still signed by the last person I bought the bike from.
There is no bill of sale, therefor no warranty of any kind included,
The buyer is continually harassing me and is now threatening to abandon the bike on my property. (there is a police officer en route to document this claim)
Do I hold any liability at all? Most I ask say I should be off without a hitch.
PLEASE help me with this, I'm a bit worried, but i think I'll be fine.
Any information you need let me know,
