We purchased a 1999 pontiac, yesterday(11/13/09). A bill of sale was signed that stated as is. The car was driven 51 miles when the motor blew-up. Is there anything we can do to receive our money and/or return the car.

No. You might ask the dealer for help and if they are kind people they may help. I know my dealership would help, but you have no recourse to force them to do so.

Did you check it out? Did you drive the car before you bought it? Was it a defect that you could have been able to tell except the owner deliberately tried to conceal it from being discovered?

Generally, "as-is" means as is and that is the risk you take in buying a car. The car is 10 years old. It happens. I'm sorry to hear but unless there is a special circumstance, it's your car, as is.
