Five years ago I purchased a CPO car and was provided a carfax report by the dealership. Now I am shopping for a new car and another car dealer ran a carfax report on my car assess trade-in value. His carfax report shows the car had been in an accident years before I purchased it. I have the original carfax report I was provided at the time of purchase and it is incomplete. Now my car is worth less than I thought? Can I recover the difference? Is there a law governing this?
