Urgent help with translation

My friend has recently failed one of her classes and was told she is not allowed to perform at our state cheer leading competition which is in two days. This will be our final competition and when I was looking through the rules about "No pass, No Play" I came across this:
(2) If at the end of any grading period a contestant is given a failing grade in any course for which
credit is awarded, the contestant is ineligible to dress for and compete in the next occurring interscholastic athletic contests and competitions in which the contestant is a contestant for 30 consecutive calendar Days.

The "...in which the contestant is a contestant for 30 consecutive calendar Days." makes it seem as if a student will not be allowed to participate IF there are 30 more days left in our season but there are not. We have two days left.

I read that as saying no play for 30 days from the date of the failing grade.

You are grasping at straws. There is no IF implied in that statement. Your "friend" is benched. Deal with it.
