over fourth of July weekend I got a ticket for underage consumption. I am 20 yrs old. We were on our way home and got stopped at a road block. I was a passenger in the car the officer asked if we had been drinking and we said yes. We all got tickets and we were released to a sober driver. I was not asked to take a breathalizer or anything. Do i need to hire a lawyer for this? And also i was looking at my ticket the other day and i noticed that my birthdate is wrong. According to the ticket i was born in 1982 when really it is 1983 so according to my ticket I'm 21. I heard that if there is any mistake on the ticket at all the case will be thrown out, is this true?

1) You admitted that you had been drinking. I don't know what you may receive but you should hope for a deferred adjudication so that you will receive probation and hopefully have the ability to expunge.

2) I would likely hire an attorney or consult with one because this is a serious matter. You should seek a DUI specialist.

3) I doubt the ticket will be thrown out since the mistake does not seem material. It would seem to identify you sufficiently.
