Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Underage consumption

I was arrested a couple of weeks ago for underage consumption but I wasn't drinking and passed a breathalizer to prove it. The thing is that there was alcohol in the car I was driving that isn't mine. Now I am going to go to court for alcohol sales to a minor. Is this possible to be arrested for one thing and tried for something else?

Yes. It's possible. Happens all the time.

And it makes me hate cops.
