unauthorized hard pull

A credit union conducted a hard pull of my credit without my permissuon. I was alerted because the credit union sent a letter ( notice of home loan application) stating they pulled my credit. When I called them to complain that I did not authorize it, they assert they did not pull my credit (only my husband's credit because only he is on the refinance loan). Both of us received a letter with our respective credit information.

If there is anything to resolve here it will be done through the credit union reporting the inquiry. Use the credit agency's dispute resolution process.
