My jurisdiction is: CA
I have a court order from Contra Costa County, that was filed in 2004 but support was never enforced because I wasn't able to provide my attorney with any employment information for him.
My husband recently adopted my daughter from a previous relationship.
Once we finished up the adoption, our attorney said we should enforce the court order to get the cs arrears.
So today I consulted with the Humboldt County Child Support Division who won't take the case because it's Contra Costa County's jurisdiction. Fine. So I called CoCo County, and they said that because it's a case involving a child, they can't give me too much info, but in order to proceed I need to find someone who can tell me which forms to file. The Contra Costa County Courts website has all their forms available, but I really just need someone to tell me what needs to be filed so that we can collect the back child support that is owed!
