Truth in hiring

My former employer (former as of April 22) misrepresented the position for which he was hiring me. I was hired with the title of VP of Sales. Shortly after my hiring, the owner of the company and the VP of Operations took all of my employees out of my charge. Then I was told that I needed to manage a sales territory. Shortly after that, I was told to spend all of my time in the offie telemarketing. When I was interviewing, tasks presented to me were managing the sales staff and creating a corporate sales process. Other things, like the VP of Ops lying to the President of the company to make me look bad, have also taken place.
Do I have any recourse based on past "truth in hiring" suits?

Not statutes...It is a term that has been coined in somecourt cases of this kind, where a prospective employer misleead a recruit to join the company.

I see where your going but it isnt going to happen. Your looking for a legal means to get even. There isnt one. What happened to you may be unfair but it was not illegal
