Truancy at eighteen?

Does truancy still affect an eighteen year old? If they were once on it at age seventeen but then turned eighteen doesn't it no longer affect them since truant means under 18?

Let's take a look at your state's statute regarding truancy.

Notice it references juvenile.

You're an adult at age 18.

Are you serving under probation because of the truancy charge you caught at age 17?
If that is true, it's likely the reason you're being hounded about truancy as an adult.

Do yourself a favor if you have issues attending school regularly, drop out.
Yes, drop out, and enroll yourself in a local GED program.
That way you can secure the equivalent of a high school diploma WITHOUT the aggravation of a timetable, a schedule, and rules made for children.
