Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass Trespassing - NY Penal Law 140.05

I was arrested for trespassing in October in New York City, but I live in Chicago. My summons is for mid-January. Is there anyway I can resolve this without appearing in court or paying an attorney to appear for me?

The offense is just a violation, I'd rather plead guilty and pay a fine than have to pay to travel to NYC on top of it. Would they just give me a ticket? Does anyone have an idea at how much it would cost?

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

You could start by calling the county clerks office and view all options of payments since that is your plan. Some have online services or mail. If you want to work with a lawyer, google lawyers in that country and call and reach an agreement. If you just wan to plead guilty..........it should cost you less that 300$ in lawyer fees. But you can do it on your own................call the clerk's office.
