I purchased a used lexus 2000 from a car dealership with over 170,000 miles, had it ck out by an independent mechanic
Nothing out of ordinary, 5 days later 400 miles total was put on the car, the transmission fail on the car.
I guess I have a 15 day 500 mile warranty. But what does that cover? Do they pay for the total Cost to repair, can I bring the car back and get my money back?

You should start by contacting the dealer and/or reading (includes comprehending) your written warranty.
There is no way we could know, want to know, or need to know.
Call the dealer, better yet visit the dealer.
Know this, any car with 100,000 plus miles, heck 50,000 is going to become a very big financial problem very quickly.

Read your warranty & then talk to the dealership - see what they say.

You won't get your money back, that is for sure.
If you have warranty coverage your best hope is that they fix it. Don't expect a new transmission, just a band aid repair that will get you through the warranty period.
